“Chuny Adech” EP is a delicate fusion between soul music and African-Japadhola sound; it is also Apio’s first multi-track release.
Through her subtle yet powerful vocals, Apio magically manages to further humanize soul music with her vulnerable and emotional performance.
The title translates to mean, ‘Half of My Soul’, and is read ‘choon-ah-dech’. Now you can speak, Japadhola!

Apio Samantha Lilian, known more commonly as Apio Moro, is a Ugandan singer-songwriter, and guitarist.

Born in her parents’ hometown, Tororo, and raised in Jinja. She began performing in school, demonstrating R&B, soul, and rock and roll influences song-writing abilities. She sings, mostly, in the Japadhola language of her people, from Eastern Uganda.

Apio released her first studio EP ‘Chuny Adech’ in May 2017.

Her album ‘Chuny’ is set to be released later in 2017.
